Objectives

Through Minority Youth, Majority Voice (MYMV), we aim to reduce the participation gap faced by young people, especially those from minority, immigrant and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, by focusing on practical and experience-based participation rather than only awareness. The project seeks to help young people understand how local democratic decision-making works, strengthen their confidence in expressing their views and support direct interaction with decision-makers. The objectives of the project are to: -increase young people’s knowledge of local participation mechanisms; -strengthen trust and self-confidence in democratic participation; -develop practical participation skills through analysis, simulations and dialogue; -improve youth–decision-maker communication at local level; -show that democratic participation is inclusive and relevant to all young people, not only specific groups.
