Young people with fewer opportunities are currently significantly underrepresented in terms of participation in democratic life at the local, national, and European levels. The aim of this project is to create access for this target group, enabling them to experience Europe firsthand and exchange ideas with young people from other countries on issues that affect them and to make their perspectives visible. In this project, we want to focus on empowering girls, placing their needs and ideas at the center of the discussion and enabling them to participate. The goal is to amplify the voices of young girls at local and European levels, enriching democratic discourse. Their issues will also be considered in relation to EU values (including the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU), and we will reflect together on how, for example, the right to equality is/can be implemented at the European level.
