With this project, we aim to strengthen youth participation in Germany and Türkiye in a future-oriented way and to jointly develop models for how young people can effectively take part in democratic decision-making processes up to 2036. The project seeks to make young people’s experiences and needs visible, reduce participation barriers especially for disadvantaged groups, and foster trust in democratic processes. The objectives include a comparative analysis of participation practices, the creation of structured dialogue spaces with decision-makers, the development of youth-led recommendations, and the strengthening of participation competences, self-efficacy and long-term future thinking. In this way, sustainable and inclusive participation approaches will be created that can be transferred into local and national processes even after the project ends.
