The Democracy Camp is a 5-day intercultural exchange on democracy, media, Europe and inclusion. To create a long-term network of young people around these topics, 55 people under 26 from 9 European countries will meet in Zagreb and Pazin in September 2027. To promote democratic participation among youth, participants will explore 2 guiding questions: What participation tools are available to me? And how can I use these tools to shape fair media creation and an inclusive Europe? Participants will identify democratic best practices relating to media and inclusion for Europe. They will broaden their understanding of political levels and the role of the EU. In addition, there will be a transfer of knowledge on democratic skills, project management and public speaking. Overall, the Camp promotes an inclusive culture of discussion and an understanding of democracy among young people. Participants will share all results with decision-makers in a Youth Participation Handbook.
