The school aims to support students in acquiring intercultural competences in order to educate future professionals to the care sector who are reflective, confident, competent, and tolerant of others. Free movement within the EU means that people in need of care in the future may come from different cultural backgrounds and life situations. Providing care for and collaborating with these citizens requires intercultural competences, tolerance, and an international mindset among our students.
The school offers short-term mobility abroad for all main programme students across three educational courses. Demand is increasing, but the funds are insufficient to support everyone who applies. These mobilities strengthen recruitment, branding, and students’ intercultural competences, which are essential for confident, tolerant, and highly skilled professionals in the future’s European care workforce. Thus, the school applies for additional mobilities in this accreditation application.
