The project “Youth for a Secure Europe” aims to engage young people in the EU’s foreign and security policy agenda and to make their voices a real part of the political conversation. Through a targeted learning program, participants’ knowledge, confidence, and ability to formulate and communicate political messages are strengthened. They develop a joint position paper and present it to decision-makers in both Denmark and Brussels. The project thus provides young people with concrete tools to participate in and influence European decision-making processes—but it also creates value for politicians, who are met with a new generation offering well-considered proposals and a clear youth perspective. In this way, the project contributes to a more inclusive and forward-looking EU debate, where young people are not only heard but actively involved in shaping Europe’s security policy direction.
