Objectives

From the perspective of youth work practice. The project aims to support young people in understanding how everyday choices, especially related to fashion, are connected to wider environmental and social issues. From a youth work perspective, the focus is on moving from abstract information to lived learning, where young people explore real life topics linked to their identity, lifestyle, and values. A key objective is the development of critical thinking skills. Through non formal education methods, young people learn to question marketing messages, recognise greenwashing, and assess information independently. This supports youth work’s role in empowering young people to form their own opinions and make informed decisions. Another objective is to strengthen active citizenship. The project encourages young people to see themselves as actors who influence systems through their behaviour, choices, and voices. By exploring consumer responsibility and circular economy, youth work supports engagement with sustainability as a shared social responsibility. The project also supports personal and social development. Working in international groups helps young people strengthen communication skills, teamwork, self confidence, and intercultural competence. These competences are essential in youth work practice for participation in democratic and diverse societies. Youth participation is central throughout the project. Young people are actively involved in preparation, activity design, reflection, and dissemination. This reinforces youth ownership, peer learning, and leadership, which are core principles of quality youth work.
