Objectives

By implementing this Youth Exchange, we want to strengthen youth work practice with concrete, youth-led methods that help young people cope with stress and reduce harmful win–lose pressure in everyday life. Building on the outcomes of our previous exchange “Is Beauty a Beast?”, we will go deeper into the root patterns behind many wellbeing issues young people described: constant comparison, fear of failure, perfectionism and the idea that you must “win” to be worthy. Through non-formal learning, theatre-based practice and nature-based grounding, we aim to develop practical, transferable tools that youth workers and young people can apply in schools, youth groups, creative and sports environments. Overall objective (youth work perspective): To equip young people and youth work organisations with practical, non-formal methods to recognise and transform win–lose pressure into healthier win–win cooperation, strengthening stress resilience, self-awareness and authentic self-expression. Specific objectives: - Increase awareness and understanding of how win–lose patterns and “successful success” narratives influence youth wellbeing (stress, anxiety, self-doubt, bullying dynamics and social pressure), and how these patterns appear in school, family, peer groups, sports and creative environments. - Develop practical competences for stress prevention and stress reduction through a shared toolbox of exercises (embodied regulation, reflection, peer support and creative/theatre-based methods), tested and adapted in an intercultural group. - Strengthen youth agency and participation by involving young people in planning, facilitating sessions (partner masterclasses), shared community responsibility (service & care roles) and the creation of a documentary-based final performance, with adults supporting safety and learning quality. - Build win–win youth work culture by practising cooperation, shared responsibility, respectful communication, and trust-building processes (community agreements, daily evaluation, inclusive group work), and by supporting participants to transfer these practices to their local groups. Ensure sustainable impact beyond the exchange by preparing follow-up actions in each country (local workshops/sharing sessions), supported by a dissemination kit, mentoring from group leaders, and post-project evaluation and networking.
