From a youth work practice perspective, the main objective of this project is to reduce the impact of stress and anxiety experienced by young people in educational and professional contexts, as these factors often limit their confidence, initiative and participation in youth work, community life and European opportunities. Through non-formal education and international group living, the project aims to help participants recognise how anxiety manifests in situations related to studies, work, performance and future expectations, and to practice concrete coping strategies that can be applied in everyday life. The objective is not therapeutic intervention, but to equip young people with practical tools, peer support and reflection methods that help them manage pressure and regain a sense of control and agency. A second objective is to enable young people to become more active and confident in youth work roles. By reducing anxiety linked to responsibility, exposure and decision-making, the project creates conditions for participants to take initiative, lead activities and engage more actively with others. Participants are placed in active roles during the exchange, such as facilitating workshops and contributing to content creation, to strengthen confidence and reduce fear of participation. The project also aims to strengthen participants’ capacity to work in international and multicultural environments. Daily cooperation in mixed international groups supports the development of communication, teamwork and conflict-management skills, which are directly relevant for both youth work practice and professional life. As a result of reduced anxiety and increased confidence, the project aims to increase participants’ long-term engagement as active young people, youth workers and peer supporters. Participants are encouraged to continue using and sharing the coping tools developed during the exchange and to promote youth participation and European opportunities within their local communities. Overall, the project aims to remove emotional barriers that prevent young people from acting, and to support their transition from motivated but hesitant participants to more active, confident and engaged young people in youth work and community contexts.
