The project “GPT: Guiding People to Think” aims to strengthen critical thinking, personal responsibility and conscious digital behaviour among young people in the context of the rapid spread of artificial intelligence tools. In youth work practice, we increasingly observe that young people rely on AI for studying, decision-making and content creation without reflecting on its influence on their independent thinking, creativity and personal voice. The main objective of the project is to support young people in developing a balanced and reflective approach to AI use. Through non-formal education methods, peer learning and intercultural dialogue, the youth exchange will create a safe learning environment where participants can explore how AI affects their thinking patterns, information consumption and self-expression. From a youth work perspective, the project focuses on strengthening key competences such as critical thinking, media literacy, ethical awareness, communication skills and active participation. It also aims to empower young people to trust their own ideas, question information sources, verify digital content and take responsibility for their choices in digital environments. By the end of the project, participants will be better equipped to use AI as a supportive tool without allowing it to replace their independent thinking, creativity and personal agency. The project contributes to more reflective, responsible and self-aware youth work practices in the digital age.
