The aim of the project is to strengthen young people’s participation skills and critical thinking competences by establishing sustainable debate clubs in regions where regular and high-quality debate education is currently not available. We seek to increase young people’s willingness and capacity to engage in societal issues, to express their views in a well-argued manner, and to take part in constructive and respectful discussions.During the project, we will train young facilitators who will establish and lead local debate clubs and implement participation practices in their schools or communities. The project activities are designed to support the development of sustainable solutions. Although young facilitators will eventually graduate from school, we work in parallel with the school or community to build lasting structures that ensure the continuity of debate activities beyond the project’s lifetime.
