The DiscoverEU EANK Youth project aims to create equal opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities to participate in international mobility. Through structured support, the project helps them gain independence, develop life skills, and engage in European learning experiences. From a youth work perspective, the project focuses on personal and social development by providing young people with the confidence and resilience to navigate new environments. It supports their problem-solving skills, encourages teamwork, and helps them take responsibility for planning and decision-making. By ensuring that youth workers accompany and mentor them throughout the experience, the project creates a safe and supportive environment where participants can grow. Additionally, the project strengthens the capacity of youth workers by equipping them with tools and methods to support disadvantaged young people in mobility programs. It also promotes a culture of sustainability by encouraging environmentally friendly travel choices. More broadly, the experience inspires participants to continue engaging in international programs like Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, fostering long-term participation in youth work and mobility initiatives.
