Through the project we aim to: (a) establish UDL-based practice in our workshops, so every lesson offers multiple ways of access, engagement and expression, reducing barriers for learners with fewer opportunities; (b) embed Education for Sustainability through SDG-linked actions with before/after measurements, aiming to reduce waste and energy use in daily workshop routines; and (c) create a shared toolkit, staff training sessions and follow-up monitoring so these improvements become consistent.
We applied for this project because the 2nd Laboratory Center of Piraeus supports vocational workshops with mixed and diverse groups (day and evening classes), where different learning levels, language barriers and the need for safe, fair participation for all learners coexist. At the same time, we need to systematically embed sustainable practices and reduce waste and energy use in our workshops. The mobility will equip staff with UDL and sustainability tools, so improvements become permanent.
