The project aims to support young people in moving from passive digital consumption towards more conscious, balanced and responsible digital choices, with a strong focus on digital wellbeing, self-awareness and active participation. From a youth work perspective, the project responds to everyday challenges young people face in their digital lives, such as constant online engagement, algorithm-driven content and the impact of digital habits on wellbeing, relationships and participation. Through a Youth Exchange based on non-formal and experiential learning, the project seeks to create a safe and inclusive space where young people can reflect on their digital habits, share experiences with peers from different countries and develop greater awareness of how digital environments influence their behaviour and choices. Rather than providing technical or academic knowledge, the project focuses on reflection, dialogue and peer learning, which are core elements of quality youth work practice. The objectives of the project are to strengthen young people’s ability to reflect critically on their everyday digital practices, to support the development of skills related to self-regulation, communication and cooperation, and to encourage a more balanced relationship between online and offline life. The project also aims to empower young people to express their views, participate actively in group processes and take responsibility for their personal wellbeing. From a youth work perspective, the project promotes inclusion, participation and learning through experience. It actively involves young people with fewer opportunities, supports equal access to international mobility and values diversity of backgrounds and experiences. By combining intercultural exchange with reflection-based and participatory methods, the project contributes to the personal development of young people and strengthens their role as active and conscious participants in their communities.
