Through Green Routes of Europe, we aim to empower young people with fewer opportunities by providing inclusive European mobility experiences that enhance their personal, social, and professional development. From a youth work perspective, the project seeks to develop green and eco-agricultural skills by exposing participants to sustainable olive oil production and environmentally responsible practices. It promotes social inclusion and equal opportunities, ensuring that rural and disadvantaged youth can participate fully in European mobility. At the same time, participants will enhance soft skills and key competences, such as teamwork, intercultural awareness, problem-solving, and digital literacy, through non-formal and experiential learning. The project also strengthens European identity and active citizenship by connecting young people with peers, local communities, and stakeholders across Italy, Spain, and Portugal, while fostering long-term employability and personal growth by inspiring them to apply learned skills and sustainable practices in their own communities. Finally, the project enables the informal group to build organisational capacity, improve youth engagement strategies, and develop best practices for inclusive, sustainable, and impactful youth mobility.
