Our main goal is to empower young people with fewer opportunities so that they can imagine themselves as agents of change, not sometime in the future, but right now. Through a well-prepared DiscoverEU experience, we want to give them the opportunity to travel, connect, and, above all, be exposed to examples of youth social initiatives that can inspire them. From a youth work perspective, this project aims to break down internal and external barriers: - To support young people in stepping out of their comfort zone, - To build self-confidence through group experiences and reflection, - Offer role models of young people who "started from scratch," - Strengthen critical thinking and connection to society. The project is also a safe and welcoming experience, where participants feel they belong, both within the group and in the wider context of European youth. Each stage (before, during, and after the trip) is designed based on key principles of youth work: voluntary participation, learning through experience, peer support, methodological reinforcement from youth workers, and active reflection.
