Changemakers’ Toolbox II builds a European community of youth workers who turn learning into action by designing, testing, and sharing practical tools for social change. We want Changemakers’ Toolbox II to empower youth workers by equipping them with the essential skills needed to lead impactful initiatives and strengthen their organizations. This project is designed to help them develop the core skills of a changemaker: 1. Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, 2. empathy and community connection and 3. collaborative leadership and adaptability in order to address the needs of young people, using human-centered design and social innovation strategies. Changemakers’ Toolbox II is a two-mobility international training programme bringing together youth workers, community builders, and social innovators from across Europe. The programme combines two in-person mobilities with a structured implementation phase in between, allowing participants to move from exploration and co-design to local testing, reflection, and validation of methods. This structure ensures that learning is rooted in real youth work practice and supported by international peer exchange. From a youth work perspective, the project aims to strengthen professional identity, improve the quality of non-formal education practices, and build long-term cooperation between youth organisations across Europe. Objectives of the training program: 1 - Strengthen changemaker identity and leadership skills By the end of the first mobility, at least 80% of participants will identify their leadership strengths and areas for development and articulate how they can initiate change within their organization or community. 2 - Support the design and testing of concrete youth work initiatives During the first mobility, at least 70% of participants will design at least one initiative responding to a real youth work or community challenge, which they will further develop or test in their local context between the two mobilities. 3 - Deepen peer learning and international exchange Through the two-mobility format, at least 80% of participants will report increased confidence in learning from and contributing to international peer networks. 4 - Co-create and validate practical tools for youth work Across both mobilities, participants will co-design an open-source Changemakers’ Toolbox including at least 15 practical tools and case studies, refined and validated during the second mobility and shared across partner countries. 5 - Ensure follow-up and long-term impact Within six months after the second mobility, at least 70% of participants will have implemented a project, workshop, or initiative inspired by the training, collectively reaching at least 1,000 people.
