We aim for two main objectives: enabling our staff to communicate directly in English with English-speaking beneficiaries of international protection to establish immediate trust and understand their real needs from first contact, and acquire innovative refugee support methods by observing recognized Irish practices.
We are applying because our staff's lack of English proficiency prevents quality support for the English-speaking beneficiaries of international protection we welcome. This language barrier creates misunderstandings, delays access to rights, and prevents establishing a trust-based relationship. This mobility is essential to immediately and sustainably improve our capacity to effectively support these vulnerable populations towards autonomy and integration.
