By implementing the "SOUNDS OF BELONGING" project, we aim to demonstrate and equip young people with innovative approaches to youth work. Our main objective is to use collective musical co-creation as a powerful educational tool to strengthen social cohesion, civic skills, and a sense of belonging among young people from diverse backgrounds, who often face exclusion. From a youth work perspective, our specific objectives are as follows: - We want to create and test a methodology that uses music as a universal language to address complex themes such as identity and discrimination. This involves providing young people and youth workers with a powerful, non-verbal, and emotionally resonant tool for expression that transcends linguistic and social barriers. - We aim to train young participants to become multipliers of inclusion. By experiencing a transformative journey of intercultural dialogue and artistic collaboration, they will be equipped to lead workshops in their local communities, thereby disseminating the project's values and practices. We aim to capitalize on and widely share this methodology. By producing an open educational kit, a musical work, and a documentary, we will offer the European youth work community concrete and transferable resources for integrating arts education into strategies for inclusion and combating prejudice. This project aims to demonstrate that collective artistic practice is not a peripheral activity, but a central lever in youth work for building more inclusive societies, where diversity is experienced as a creative asset and a foundation for active citizenship.
