By implementing the NUMÉRICOMPASS project, we aim to bring about a profound transformation in youth work practices, addressing the crucial challenges of digital inclusion, employability, and gender equality. From a youth work practice perspective, our objectives are as follows: 1. To equip young people, and particularly young women, with a critical compass to navigate the digital world. Specifically, we want to shift from an approach focused on technical access to an active pedagogy that develops critical digital skills: critical thinking in the face of misinformation, the ability to engage civically online, and the creative and strategic use of tools for employability (personal branding, job searching, entrepreneurship). 2. To create transformative educational spaces that break down self-censorship and strengthen the confidence of young women. We aim to actively dismantle gender stereotypes in the digital sphere through non-formal education that highlights female role model 3. Professionalize and innovate in the methods of youth organizations. We want to equip youth workers with innovative, practical, and ready-to-use educational tools (a guide, a kit, a platform) to address these complex topics. The project will integrate advanced methods such as the use of virtual reality for simulation and a digital badge system for skills recognition. 4. Strengthen the European and intercultural dimension of local youth work. By creating a sustainable network of young digital ambassadors and forging strong partnerships between the EU and the Southern Mediterranean region, we will build lasting bridges. This will allow youth organizations to enrich their practices through transnational exchange and cooperation. 5. Position youth work as a key player in socio-economic inclusion. By raising awareness among employers and local policymakers about the skills and potential of young people, particularly young women, we aim to make the youth sector an essential partner in building smoother and more equitable pathways to integration in the digital economy. NUMÉRICOMPASS aims to transform youth work practices by empowering them to respond concretely, inclusively, and innovatively to the major societal challenges of the digital transition and the fight for equality, placing youth empowerment at the heart of its work.
