The project Shared Europe aims to provide teenagers from Mérignac (Arlac district) and Rome with a long-term educational mobility experience based on non-formal learning and youth participation. From a youth work perspective, the project strengthens young people’s empowerment: self-confidence, cooperation, communication, and the ability to organise collectively. It addresses European citizenship in a concrete way (shared values, respect for diversity, tackling stereotypes and discrimination) and links citizenship to climate challenges, including low-carbon mobility choices (train/bus) and simple everyday actions. A strong focus is placed on inclusion: the project makes international mobility accessible for young people with fewer opportunities through progressive support, financial accessibility, and active involvement of families.
