The HIPEN JUNIOR project aims to promote the participation of deaf young people in an inclusive European mobility experience based on the principles of non-formal education. Through shadow theatre as a visual and accessible form of expression, the project seeks to foster creativity, strengthen self-confidence, and develop participants’ social and intercultural competences. The project addresses a clearly identified need: deaf young people still have limited access to international mobility opportunities due to communication barriers. HIPEN JUNIOR therefore aims to create a safe and adapted environment where participants can fully express themselves and cooperate with peers from different European countries. From a youth work perspective, the project promotes inclusive practices, supports active youth participation, and encourages young people’s engagement in collective dynamics. It will also strengthen partner organisations’ competences in inclusive mobility and non-formal education. The main objectives are to: - promote inclusion and equal opportunities in access to European mobility; - develop creativity and self-expression; - strengthen social, personal and intercultural competences; - encourage autonomy and self-confidence; - foster European cooperation between organisations supporting young people with fewer opportunities.
