We want to organize a youth exchange called "Long Live Outdoor Activities" in France, from July 19 to 26, 2026 (dates include 2 travel days). This stay will be fixed, however, we will get around on foot, by bike, by train, by city bus, and by bus from Laval to all of our sports and cultural activity locations. The group will consist of: - 6 Belgian youths - 6 Lithuanian youths - 6 Italian youths - and 6 French youths aged 13 to 17. Each group will be accompanied by 2 adults. During this project, we want to help young people understand the issues of eco-mobility and regular outdoor physical activity, in the fresh air, that is to say: - Limiting the environmental impact of human activity, - Limiting the economic impact on families and individuals, - Understanding and measuring social issues, - Improving health and quality of life, - Acquiring a skill, a sporting technique Thanks to our stay, young people will be better able to: - test and discover different modes of transportation - learn to get around and practice alternative modes of transport - change habits - promote the project, green transportation, and the ERASMUS+ program by engaging with locals and other young people - engage in regular physical activity in a healthy environmental setting. BEFORE STARTING Before coming to France, each group will have received a summary document to prepare the stay and share as much as possible. They will have prepared some posters to present: - their country - their organization - the project - the stay, the means of transport used, their benefits, and the sports practiced - youth exchanges, the ERASMUS+ program in general. PROCEEDINGS The activity will take place in Laval, the central city of the Mayenne department, where the 3 groups will arrive by train or minibus on July 19 from Paris Montparnasse stations. Using the train as an environmentally friendly means of transport from the start is the chosen tool to immerse young people in the project's theme right from the beginning of the activity. In Laval, during their stay from July 20 to 25, the young people will organize the group's communal life and establish the rules. They will get to know each other. They will then take part in workshops to learn how to: -> Maintain and repair a bicycle, -> Travel as a group, -> Read a map and practice orientation in the city and in the forest. They will be accommodated at the Laval International Stay Center. This means that the young people will be able to get to work quickly and make contacts. It is up to the facilitators to ensure group dynamics from the very beginning and to make sure that no young person stays in their room. In this way, our organization will allow the group time to discuss eco-mobility, promote youth exchanges, the ERASMUS+ program, and highlight low-carbon sports.
