Objectives

This project aims to support young people's vision and energy, to nurture their creativity and mindset for building a collective future in which they represent a driving force capable of mobilising, acting and positively impacting the community and society. To this end, we are keen to offer individual and collective spaces that are rejuvenating and engaging, with contact with nature and connections at the heart of the programme. It aims to offer them a formative European mobility experience based on non-formal learning, experimentation and active participation, in line with the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme. Through this project, we want to enable young people with fewer opportunities to enjoy a structured, safe and transformative European experience based on non-formal learning, collective experimentation and active participation. From a youth work perspective, this project aims to create a temporary educational space in which young people can: -get out of their usual environment, -experiment with other ways of relating (to themselves, to others, to living things), -strengthen their ability to for action, -project themselves as actors and actresses in their territory and in Europe. The aim is to support their vision, energy and creativity by offering them a framework that is both rejuvenating and engaging, where nature becomes an educational tool for personal and collective development. Project objectives (from a youth work perspective) 1. Strengthen young people's psychosocial skills The project aims to develop participants' cognitive, emotional and social skills, in particular: emotional regulation, self-confidence, stress and eco-anxiety management, the ability to cooperate and communicate. From a youth work perspective, this means supporting young people in identifying their resources, understanding their emotions and developing appropriate strategies for dealing with everyday challenges. 2. Experimenting with cooperation and intercultural coexistence The project seeks to strengthen the capacities for cooperation, initiative and active participation. Through community life, participatory projects and co-construction spaces, young people gain practical experience in: shared responsibility, collective task management, intercultural dialogue, non-violent resolution of tensions. This dimension helps to combat prejudice and strengthen the sense of belonging to a European community based on the values of respect, solidarity and democracy. 3. Reconnecting young people with nature to empower them to take action The project aims to strengthen young people's connection with nature as a lever for ecological and civic engagement. It is not just a question of raising awareness of climate issues, but of enabling concrete and positive experiences in connection with nature (immersion, work camps, resource management, collective sobriety). These experiences nurture: a sense of belonging to the natural world, an understanding of interdependencies, the ability to transform concern into action. In youth work, this means offering hands-on experiences that support the emergence of lasting commitment. 4. Opening up opportunities for local and European engagement The project also aims to enable young people to identify networks, structures and concrete opportunities for engagement, both in France and Belgium. It contributes to: encouraging intercultural dialogue, strengthening the sense of belonging to Europe, stimulating participation in democratic life, promoting citizen initiative. Participants will be encouraged to propose at least one action or testimony upon their return, in order to ensure that the experience has a lasting impact. Expected medium- and long-term impacts At the end of the project, young people will leave with: concrete tools for taking care of their mental health, an improved ability to cooperate and manage group dynamics, a successful experience of European mobility, a more concrete vision of the possibilities for ecological and civic engagement. The skills developed will be formalised via Youthpass, contributing to their recognition in personal, educational and professional careers. The aim is for them to be able to reinvest these learnings in their community involvement, professional projects or daily lives.
