The project aims to respond to the needs of young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, by using food as a powerful and universal language for learning, dialogue and participation. Across Europe, many young people face exclusion, stereotypes and limited opportunities for mobility, especially in rural and suburban areas. At the same time, they are concerned about global challenges such as climate change, unsustainable consumption and social divisions, but often feel powerless to act. The main goal of the project is to empower 50 young people from 6 countries by strengthening their competences and self-confidence through experiential, intercultural and community-based learning. By focusing on food, a theme that is immediately accessible and engaging, participants can reflect on identity, culture and sustainability in a tangible way. Specific objectives are: - To strengthen key competences such as teamwork, intercultural communication, creativity, digital literacy, leadership and civic engagement. - To foster inclusion and diversity by ensuring that at least 50% of participants face fewer opportunities and benefit from tailored support measures. - To raise awareness of sustainability and encourage young people to adopt healthier, more responsible lifestyles connected to global environmental goals. - To connect Erasmus+ mobility with local communities through public events, festival participation and dissemination activities that directly engage citizens. To create and share tangible outputs—the Cookbook of intercultural recipes and stories and the Mini-documentary on food and sustainability—that ensure visibility and transferability of results. Through these objectives, the project seeks to show how international mobility can be meaningful, inclusive and impactful both for individuals and communities, reinforcing the values of solidarity, diversity and sustainability promoted by Erasmus+.
