The 2026-2027 Erasmus+ strategic goals now recognize AI literacy not merely as a technical skill, but as a right to democratic participation. The primary objective of this project is to enhance the competencies of young people and youth workers in utilizing AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies through an ethical, secure, and critical lens within the rapidly transforming digital world. In full alignment with the 2026-2027 Erasmus+ priorities, we aim to raise participants' awareness regarding risks such as disinformation in the digital ecosystem, algorithmic biases, and data privacy. Furthermore, we intend to transform them from being mere technology consumers into ethical digital citizens. From the perspective of youth work practice, our project aims to provide an innovative model for integrating AI tools into non-formal education methods and to strengthen the mentoring capacities of youth workers in the face of this new technological reality. The concrete objectives of the project include: increasing participants' AI literacy levels by at least 40%, drafting a ‘Youth AI Declaration’ that promotes the ethical use of technology in democratic participation processes, and equipping youth with reliable digital skills to enhance their digital employability. To accurately measure participant development and validate the project’s impact, a rigorous evaluation strategy based on the DigComp 2.2 (The European Digital Competence Framework) will be implemented through structured self-assessment surveys administered both before and after the mobility. These assessments are strategically designed to quantify progress across specific sub-categories, including technical AI knowledge, ethical reasoning, and disinformation detection, allowing for the numerical verification of our target of a 40% increase in overall digital literacy. By aligning our evaluation methodology with this internationally recognized framework, we ensure that the qualitative learning experience is supported by verifiable quantitative data, providing a professional and transparent account of how the project contributes to the participants' lifelong learning journey in full compliance with European transparency tools. Ultimately, by adopting an inclusive approach, our project aims to ensure that disadvantaged youth are not excluded from this technological revolution, thereby laying the youth-oriented foundations for an ethical digital transformation across Europe.
