Creative Lab: Soft Skills for the Future was created with the aim of providing young people with concrete tools to develop digital and transversal skills through non-formal education and intercultural cooperation. The project connects European and Caribbean youth in an 8-month pathway culminating in a mobility in December 2026, where participants will co-create a Creative Digital Zine and audiovisual products that transform learning into a visible collective result. Beyond individual learning, the project seeks to strengthen youth work as a space where creativity, participation and inclusion meet. Main objectives of the project -Equip young people with practical digital and audiovisual competences, experimenting with mobile videomaking, photography, podcasting and storytelling through accessible tools. -Develop soft skills such as teamwork, problem solving, leadership and intercultural communication through mixed international groups. -Promote ethical and responsible communication, supporting critical thinking on misinformation, stereotypes and online hate speech. -Foster inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, ensuring accessible methodologies and personalised support. -Stimulate active citizenship and intercultural dialogue between Europe and Guadeloupe, strengthening awareness of Erasmus+ values. -Produce a Creative Digital Zine (18-22 pages) as a concrete output to be reused in schools and youth centres. -Activate follow-up actions: at least 5 local workshops and two online meetings (1 week and 60 days after mobility). Perspective of youth work practice From the point of view of youth work, the project aims to: -Innovate non-formal methodologies by integrating audiovisual language into youth work as an educational and participatory tool. -Strengthen the role of youth workers as facilitators able to guide young people in digital expression and critical media literacy. -Create safe learning environments where diversity is valued and every participant can contribute regardless of background or skills. -Empower young people as multipliers, capable of leading peer activities using the Creative Digital Zine. -Build bridges between local and international youth work, connecting everyday community spaces with Erasmus+ mobility. The project will therefore not only train young people in digital creativity, but will reinforce youth work as a driver of social inclusion, media literacy and European cooperation, leaving tools and networks that remain active beyond the mobility experience.
