Objectives

As young members of the Odyssee association noticed that isolation among youth and depression were increasing in their territories; they asked themselves this question: "How can young people improve their feeling of well-being and learn how to socialise again in a healthy way to fight against isolation and depression symptoms?". Odyssee, its young members and its partners co-wrote and co-designed the ''FEEL GOOD PROJECT'' to answer this problematic. Odyssee and its partners come from rural areas or disadvantaged neighborhoods, young people in their communities have lack of access on mental health. For this reason we want to create a new dynamic in our areas by creating 20 new ''Mental health young ambassadors'' that will organise after the project interventions and events about this topic to shed the light on it and help other young people of their communities. In addition, we want to spread mental health topic across Europe and its surroundings by the help of multilingual podcast episodes so that everybody will feel concerned about it. Why mental health and podcast? The amount of new podcasts skyrocketed in this last decade, they are mainly used by young people to inform themselves on different topics, by the help of this project, we will use a trendy tool (podcasts) to inform young people on one of the subject that concern them the most: ''Mental health''. The multilingual episodes will give them tips, knowledges and other young perspectives about this topic. We want to carry out this project to make a change in the mindset of young people of our territories and prove them that it is possible to feel less isolated. We want to give hope to a new generation that wants to feel better but does not have all the tools to achieve a state of well-being. We want them to feel heard at a European level, to convert them into the democratic citizens of tomorrow by giving them a voice with podcast episodes. Non-formal workshops and learning methods will provide new knowledge and skills during the whole project. The project will be separated into two Youth Exchanges: one that will connect the young participants physically, and the other one that will make the participants spread their message digitally using the tool of podcasting. The main objectives of the project are : Gaining knowledges about Mental health, focusing on three main axes; Emotions; Self-esteem and Healthy relationships; to develop 20 future ''Mental health ambassadors'' that will help their local communities to evolve on mental health questions by non-formal tools and podcast; gaining digital knowledges, by learning the processes creation of podcast episodes; spreading prevention of mental health across Europe and our local communities by young voices; giving the opportunity to young people with less opportunity to participate in a qualitative European mobility to end up with multilingual awareness by creating multilingual episodes At the end of this project, participants will have basic understanding, knowledge and skills across the three axes of the project that are ''emotions'', "self esteem'' and "toxic and healthy relationships'', as well as practical skills in podcast creation. They will be able to use new methods and workshops in their daily and professional life. We believe that participants will moreover feel better in general or at least have new points of view on how to behave in a healthier way with themselves and with others. To finish, participants will feel more European by being immersed in an intercultural Erasmus+ project. They will become aware and open-minded about Europe and its cosmopolitan cultural background by cooperating with 20 other young people.
