The project Des Avenirs Inclusifs Verts et Numériques pour les Jeunes NEET Migrants et en Situation de Handicap aims to strengthen social inclusion and active participation of young people with fewer opportunities in the context of the green and digital transitions. It is fully aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus Plus programme as well as with the European Union Youth Strategy 2019 2027 and the European Pillar of Social Rights which emphasise equal opportunities and access to non formal education. From a youth work perspective the main objective is to create a safe non formal learning environment where NEET migrant and young people with disabilities can develop concrete social digital and environmental competences. The project responds to the objectives of the European Green Deal and the Digital Education Action Plan by equipping young people with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and actively engage in current societal transformations. In line with French public policies including the National Youth Strategy and France’s commitments to equality of rights and accessibility for persons with disabilities the project ensures genuinely inclusive mobility. Each national group will include eight young participants including at least two young people with disabilities and a majority of participants facing social cultural or geographical barriers. The operational objectives are to strengthen participants’ self confidence develop their ability to cooperate in an intercultural environment and encourage civic engagement. The project also aims to improve the practices of partner organisations in the field of inclusive non formal youth work. Through this initiative youth work becomes a concrete tool to reduce inequalities foster social cohesion and enable the most vulnerable young people to become active shapers of their future in a greener more digital and more inclusive Europe
