Objectives

With ‘Connecting Youth: Empowering Digital Skills and Communication’, we want to offer 30 young Europeans (10 per country: France, Hungary, Romania) a transformative experience that will enable them to become confident actors in their digital and civic future. Led by ANI International and its partners EGYUTTHATO (Hungary) and Asociatia Nevo Parudimos (Romania), this KA152 project responds to a concrete need: to equip young people from priority neighbourhoods and rural areas with practical digital skills and communication skills for their social and professional integration. 1. In youth work practice: responding to real needs In our community centres in Val-de-Reuil and our social centres in Paris, we see every day that many teenagers and young adults are proficient in Snapchat or TikTok, but struggle with professional tools (Canva, Trello, Mailchimp). They are reluctant to apply for jobs online, create a digital portfolio or communicate in English with European employers. The project offers a concrete solution: nine days of practical workshops where they will learn to: - Design professional visuals (posters, newsletters) - Manage a collaborative online project (shared dashboard) - Produce short video content (testimonials, tutorials) - Communicate effectively in practical English (pitches, informal exchanges) 2. Concrete objectives in non-formal youth work Our ambitions translate into measurable results in everyday practice: a) Operational skills Young people will leave with a personal digital portfolio (5 Canva creations) and will know how to use at least 3 collaborative tools. In our local post-project workshops, they will be able to lead peer-to-peer sessions to pass on these skills to other teenagers. b) Confidence and empowerment Moving from passive observers of social media to creators of useful content changes their attitude. They will dare to pitch ideas in meetings, respond to calls for citizen projects, or apply for European internships. c) Active local and European citizenship The project will culminate in the co-creation of a digital newspaper promoting youth initiatives in Val-de-Reuil and Paris. This digital medium will enable young people to: - Document their own local community projects - Become aware that their QPV realities are of interest to Europe - Feel legitimate as actors in European integration 3. Practical methodology: learning by doing In the spirit of non-formal education, we will alternate between: - Technical workshops (mornings): graphic design, video editing, collaborative tools - Intercultural games (afternoons): employer simulations, multilingual pitches, outings - Small group work: concrete projects (digital newspaper, video testimonials) - Informal evenings: cultural exchanges, shared meals Each young person will have an international partner to work with and support each other. 4. Measurable impact on youth work In the short term (end of mobility): - 100% of participants certified by Youthpass (digital + language skills) - 1 functional collective digital tool (Val-de-Reuil/Paris mini-site) - Individual portfolio for each young person In the medium term (6 months): - 6 young people trained as digital peer relays in their neighbourhoods - 3 local workshops led by trained participants - Active digital newspaper (minimum 500 shares) 5. Rooted in the realities on the ground This project is not theoretical. It responds to the needs expressed by: - Our youth centres in Val-de-Reuil (demand for digital workshops) - Partner QPV town halls (visibility of local initiatives) - Young people themselves during our participatory assessments (‘We want skills that are useful for work’) 6. Strategic partnership serving young people ANI International: QPV coordination, participant selection, local monitoring EGYUTTHATO: sustainable accommodation, accessible digital expertise Nevo Parudimos: inclusion of vulnerable populations, citizen video creation This complementarity ensures that every young person, regardless of their initial level, makes concrete progress. In short, ‘Connecting Youth’ is nine days to transform 30 young people from passive consumers of digital content into confident creators, capable of expressing themselves, collaborating remotely and carrying out civic projects. From a youth work perspective, it is a profitable investment: transferable skills (employment, activism, European mobility) and young people who become local relays for their peers. A pragmatic approach to help young people in priority neighbourhoods become more autonomous, connected and European.
