Objectives

With COM LAB – Graphic Design & Communication for Youth Workers, we want to give youth workers concrete and accessible skills in communication and graphic design. Many small youth associations lack the resources to be visible and credible, even though social media is now the main channel for reaching young people. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to communicate professionally, inclusively, and regularly, even with a limited budget. During a week in Guadeloupe, participants from six European and Caribbean countries will learn how to use simple and free tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Captions) to create visuals, videos, and messages tailored to young people. Beyond the technical aspect, COM LAB also aims to develop creativity, storytelling, critical thinking in the face of misinformation, and the ability to promote youth projects. Participants will be actively involved in creating content (video clips, posts, templates), which will be distributed online and used by their organizations after the project. COM LAB will thus enable participating organizations to improve their visibility, reach more young people, and strengthen their social impact. The project also promotes international cooperation and intercultural learning by creating a network of youth workers who can share and multiply these skills in their local communities and beyond.
