Objectives

The FaCoop project aims to support youth workers in acquiring and developing skills and attitudes that promote the empowerment, autonomy, and emancipation of young people through collective spaces. In this way, we want to enable young people to find their place in a constantly changing world and become aware of their power to influence society, while offering them the opportunity to experience an alternative way of life. Firstly, this project will promote a culture of cooperation within organizations through in-depth work on individual attitudes, tools, methods, and a holistic approach that includes mental, emotional, and physical dimensions. This culture aims to build trust in collective spaces and make them more inclusive, in order to encourage sharing and help everyone find their place. Secondly, this project aims to spread a culture of committed facilitation, which, beyond putting cooperation into practice, enables collectives to achieve their goals by putting humans back at the heart of projects and dynamics. Through reflection on attitudes and the discovery of tools and techniques, the project will enable the reinvention of collective spaces, so that they become true spaces for the empowerment of individuals and encourage awareness of power dynamics within collectives. This will create an even more fertile ground for organizations to fully achieve their respective social, democratic, and ecological impact objectives. To support the dissemination of these cultures and ensure that they enable the empowerment, autonomy, and emancipation of young people, this project will help each participant to embody the idea that diversity is a strength and to support the individuality and development of each young person, based on their background, experience, and specific characteristics. In this way, we want to contribute to a society that is moving away from the prevailing individualism by creating a dynamic of deep solidarity. Finally, to ensure that the results of this project are sustainable and remain true to their primary objective, FaCoop offers an opportunity to explore the physical and emotional dimensions of learning and practicing cooperation. The aim of this approach is to establish long-term attitudes and skills among youth workers and to consider new ways of working with young people. This is particularly true in terms of the project's focus on self-care and self-awareness, which is absolutely necessary and often lacking for youth workers whose work is often emotionally demanding. The FaCoop project is part of a broader effort to spread these cultures throughout France and Europe, working to create a world in which young people can find their place, learn to know themselves and understand their uniqueness, become aware of their strengths, find their place, and become actors in a world that is more inclusive and respectful of the Living.
