Objectives

The project aims to strengthen, in a concrete and sustainable way, the quality of youth work practices implemented by the actors of both partner organisations, by developing their professional competences in intercultural contexts and by consolidating inclusive approaches through sport. Through a short-term job shadowing mobility, the project pursues a central objective: to foster reciprocal professional learning between French and German youth workers, based on observation, comparative analysis and critical reflection on practices. This approach directly contributes to improving the quality of youth work, in line with the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme, and fully aligns with the “Inclusion and Diversity” priority. From the perspective of youth work practice, the objectives of the project are: – to strengthen the capacity of the six youth workers to design and adapt inclusive sport-based activities, taking into account the heterogeneity of young people’s profiles (social and cultural diversity, different skill levels, specific needs), and to promote the active participation of all young people; – to develop concrete intercultural competences, including professional communication in a European context, understanding different organisational frameworks, and the ability to cooperate in multicultural environments, thereby contributing to the European professional development of youth workers; – to enhance participants’ ability to critically analyse their own practices through the observation of practices implemented in another European context, identifying strengths, limitations and transferable elements; – to reinforce the formalisation and articulation of professional practices, particularly within the host organisation, in order to consolidate a structured approach to quality improvement; – to support the effective transfer of observed practices into the respective contexts of the FSCF and the DJK Sportjugend, by integrating learning outcomes into local activities, international camps and training frameworks. Beyond the individual development of the participants, the project also pursues an organisational objective: to consolidate a shared culture of continuous quality improvement in youth work through sport, grounded in European exchange, reflective practice and the gradual integration of methods that promote inclusion, diversity and active youth participation. By combining observation, guided reflection and transnational cooperation, the project seeks to generate concrete and sustainable improvements in the daily practices of both organisations, contributing to more inclusive, higher-quality youth work that is firmly anchored in a European dynamic of professional development.
