The EDU-SOLID project aims to consolidate and deepen the skills of youth actors engaged in education for eco-citizenship and international solidarity, building directly on the training carried out in 2024 on supporting international solidarity projects. This first phase made it possible to establish a common foundation of practices and knowledge and to create a diverse network of educational stakeholders (public institutions, NGOs, local authorities, research and development bodies, etc.). The new phase of the project now seeks to achieve a qualitative step forward by strengthening the capacity of participants to pilot, structure and further develop educational projects with strong territorial impact, based on a participatory approach of responsible co-construction of educational and pedagogical dynamics. From the perspective of youth actors’ practice, EDU-SOLID responds to the need for an evolution in professional postures. Educators and youth workers are no longer only implementers of activities, but also designers of educational pathways, coordinators of partnership dynamics and contributors to youth policies. The project aims to strengthen their capacities in analysis, planning, pedagogical engineering and evaluation, in order to improve the coherence, quality and sustainability of the actions carried out with young people. The project primarily targets professionals who already took part in the 2024 training, in order to consolidate the skills acquired, deepen pedagogical methods and support their progression in terms of responsibility. It also includes profiles of project leaders, associative decision-makers, managers and representatives of institutions or local authorities, with the aim of reinforcing the link between field practices, strategic steering and territorial educational policies. The objectives of the project are to enable participants to better design structured educational projects, to develop innovative and inclusive pedagogical approaches, to improve the quality of support provided to young people in their civic and solidarity engagement pathways, and to foster a shared vision of educational challenges at Mediterranean level. The project also seeks to strengthen capacities for cooperation, project governance and dissemination of practices within organisations.
