The project “From Self to Community: Rural Youth in Action” aims to empower young people living in rural areas by strengthening their civic participation and European engagement, particularly those supported by the Local Missions of Bergerac and Haut Périgord. Over 18 months, the project offers a structured participation pathway through 12 monthly youth participation events involving a stable group of around 7 young people. Using non-formal education, creative methods and experiential learning, the project supports young people in building self-confidence, discovering others and Europe, and taking concrete action within their local communities. An international mobility with Serbian young people enhances intercultural dialogue, understanding of European values and a sense of belonging to the European Union, encouraging young people to become active citizens at local and European levels.
