The project aims to preserve and promote the memory of the historic district of l’Union in Bras-Panon, which is currently undergoing transformation. It involves local young people in a participatory and intergenerational process of collecting residents’ testimonies in order to safeguard life stories and local knowledge. The objectives are to strengthen social bonds between generations, highlight memories that are often overlooked, and contribute to participants’ well-being by encouraging expression and a sense of belonging. The project also enables young people to develop social, civic, and technical skills by taking an active role in a cultural initiative that benefits their community.
