Objectives

A Family Matter is a project led by rural young people aged 16 to 22 who want to address an often invisible barrier to European mobility: parental fear. Our aim is to transform this barrier into a lever for engagement. To achieve this, we create concrete dialogue between young people and families, develop and distribute a questionnaire to better understand parental concerns, and produce podcasts, videos and joint portraits that are disseminated locally and at European level. The mobilities in Italy and Spain allow us to compare realities, involve committed parents (local elected representatives, NGO leaders, youth workers, teachers) and co-design responses adapted to rural contexts. Our objective is clear: to reassure, inform, build trust and enable more young people to dare to go abroad, get involved and feel fully European citizens.
