“Eco-Mind: Nature as a Safe Space” aims to strengthen youth work practice by applying nature-based, wellbeing-oriented non-formal learning approaches that respond to the increasing pressures young people experience. The project addresses the need for accessible, non-stigmatising methods that support mental wellbeing, emotional awareness and social connectedness. Through the Youth Exchange, young people will develop practical strategies for recognising stress, improving self-regulation, and strengthening communication and cooperation skills. The project also promotes environmental awareness, positioning nature as a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages reflection, participation and group cohesion. By combining experiential outdoor activities, light sociometric techniques and creative symbolic methods, the project models youth work practices that are participatory, adaptable and transferable to diverse local contexts. In addition to supporting young people’s wellbeing, the project strengthens partner organisations’ capacity to integrate innovative, wellbeing-focused and environmentally conscious approaches into their regular youth work activities.
