By implementing this project, we want to support young people in moving from passive users of public spaces to active contributors who understand shared responsibility and can initiate realistic change in their communities. From a youth work practice perspective, the project is not only about raising environmental awareness, but about developing lasting competences for participation, cooperation and civic action through non-formal learning. The project objectives are to strengthen young people’s knowledge of public space challenges and their root causes, including how individual behaviour and local systems influence the quality of shared spaces. The project will develop practical skills such as teamwork, communication, critical thinking, facilitation and planning of small local actions. It will also foster attitudes of responsibility, inclusion and active citizenship, helping participants build motivation to engage constructively in community life. Through experiential activities, reflection and intercultural learning, participants will learn how to identify local needs, involve peers and stakeholders, and design achievable follow-up actions with visible impact after the mobility.
