eARTh – Experiential ART through nature and technology is an initiative designed to equip youth workers with creative methods that combine artistic expression, environmental engagement, and digital tools. The project responds to an urgent need in contemporary youth work: the growing disconnection of young people from nature, compounded by urbanisation and the dominance of digital lifestyles. As a result, youth are missing out on nature’s potential to inspire creativity, well-being, and personal development. At the same time, digital platforms offer unprecedented opportunities for expression, documentation, and outreach. eARTh bridges these worlds, offering youth workers the tools and inspiration to use both nature and technology as complementary dimensions in their creative educational practice. eARTh aims to enhance the competencies of current and future youth workers in designing and leading engaging, nature-based artistic experiences. By doing so, it supports youth in reconnecting with the environment, developing their creative potential, and exploring sustainability through meaningful forms of expression. eARTh takes a dual-track approach through two international mobilities: 1. The first focuses on immersive analogue artistic experiences using natural materials and outdoor settings. Participants will explore sensory engagement with the environment and apply techniques such as Stop-Motion Animation to document and creatively preserve ephemeral, nature-based creations. 2. The second explores the integration of digital tools to document, enhance, and disseminate these artistic processes. Participants will learn to adapt nature-based methods for broader digital reach, ensuring replicability in diverse youth work contexts. This model strengthens youth workers' ability to engage young people in both natural and digital environments, supporting hybrid learning formats that reflect the realities of modern life. In addition to capacity building, eARTh encourages innovation. It serves as a platform for youth workers to develop project ideas, including integrating virtual exchanges as complementary elements to physical mobility. Participants will gain skills in original and impactful dissemination, ensuring their work reaches local and international audiences in creative and sustainable ways. This blended approach expands accessibility and enhances the reach and impact of youth initiatives. The project is rooted in a clear needs analysis. Many youth workers lack the confidence, methods or inspiration to implement nature-based artistic practices, despite growing interest in environmentally engaged learning. There is also a lack of structured opportunities to exchange knowledge internationally on combining analogue and digital creativity in youth work. eARTh addresses these gaps by providing a collaborative, cross-border space for skill development, knowledge sharing, and co-creation. At its core, eARTh promotes nature as a medium and a source of artistic inspiration. It revitalises traditional connections between art and the natural world while embracing the possibilities of modern technology. This holistic approach empowers youth workers to meet young people where they are – both outdoors and online – fostering creativity, environmental responsibility and active participation. GENERAL GOAL: To strengthen the competencies of current youth workers and develop the competencies of future youth workers in designing and leading creative, nature-oriented experiences that integrate artistic practices and digital innovation, encouraging youth to connect with the environment and express themselves through meaningful, sustainable forms of creativity. OBJECTIVES – to foster international collaboration among youth workers from 6 different countries, enabling the sharing of knowledge and best practices at the intersection of digital innovation and nature-based artistic work – to promote nature as a dynamic source of inspiration and creative material, while fostering participants’ dual literacy in both analogue and digital creative tools – to enhance participants' capacity to lead youth in outdoor, artistic, and experiential learning contexts that stimulate imagination and environmental awareness – to co-create a practical toolbox of nature-based artistic methods that youth workers can apply and adapt in a range of youth work settings – to empower participants to design and deliver artistic programs that embody sustainability, environmental stewardship, and expressive freedom – to inspire the development of new youth work strategies that merge creative thinking, resourcefulness, ecological responsibility and the smart use of technology – to empower youth workers to develop and design fresh project ideas, including the integration of virtual exchanges as complementary components to physical mobility, and to equip them with creative tools and strategies for impactful and original dissemination of their work at different levels
