he European Week of Sport aims to address the growing problem of physical inactivity and unhealthy eating habits among young people. Due to the digital world, increased screen time, and a performance-oriented sports culture, for many young people, physical activity has recently become a stressful task rather than a communal experience, while healthy eating has taken a back seat. Disadvantaged youth, in particular, have limited opportunities to participate in sports activities or health-conscious programs. Our project aims to provide young people with an experiential and community-based approach to active living, the joy of sport, and healthy eating. Participants will present traditional sports games from their own countries, try low-threshold ETS games, and carry out a joint cultural cooking session, experiencing cooperation, inclusion, and the cultural diversity of a healthy lifestyle. During the project, young people will design and implement a mini BeActive Day at a local farm for their community, which will strengthen their initiative, organizational and communication skills, and sense of social responsibility. Through non-formal learning, sport, and communal cooking, every participant can actively engage, gain a sense of achievement, and be motivated in the long term to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. The main objectives of the project are: To promote an active and healthy lifestyle in an experiential and inclusive way. To develop young people's key competences: initiative, cooperation, and civic responsibility. To foster inclusion and community-building through sport and cultural activities. To convey the values of EU sports policy and the #BeActive initiative. To encourage participants to become active ambassadors of a healthy lifestyle within their local communities.
