We hope to increase the profile of the Irish women’s groups in Newbridge and to attract more participants to join them. The mobility results will be shared in our community in order to do this. We want our learners to engage and learn from a similar Spanish groups. Hopefully they will discover common concerns, common celebrations, and shared experiences, thus leading to supported self-esteem. We want our group to share their stories, thus increasing the group's pride in achievement.
We wanted to bring our group of 20 adult learners to meet a similar group in A Guarda, Spain, with whom we are already collaborating in an Erasmus partnership project. The mobility aims to increase the confidence of the Irish group by giving them the opportunity to share their experiences and creativity as older women with the Spanish group. We wanted to learn about how other women’s groups in A Guarda enhance their community through collaborative creative projects that can inspire our group.
