We want to address the needs of those who have low confidence in using devices, using online public services and using everyday digital tools, and to meet the needs of those with limited financial capabilities in budgeting, banking, knowing their rights as consumers and how to avoid scams. We want to design a programme that meets the diverse needs of our learners, and ensure the design is inclusive. We want to enable our teaching staff to keep up with technology and use adaptable resources.
The Inclusion Team in LOETB, are applying for Erasmus+ funding to enable us to travel to a partner organisation in Europe to experience best practice in delivery of digital and financial literacy so that we can come back and develop a high-quality digital and financial literacy programme. We would like to work as a collaborative group to develop a programme which can be delivered across our services of Adult Literacy and ESOL, Community Education, Community Training and including Learner Access.
