Objectives

The primary goal is to bridge the gap between environmental awareness and emotional resilience. Currently, we see a rise in eco-anxiety, where young people are informed about the climate crisis but feel paralyzed by helplessness. This project aims to transform that paralysis into sustainable agency by providing the psychological and practical tools that traditional education often overlooks. Our core objectives from the youth work perspective: 1. Creating safe spaces for emotional expression to move beyond data-heavy climate discussions and create a non-formal, international environment where vulnerability is a strength. Facilitating peer-to-peer sharing and intercultural dialogue to normalize emotions like fear and frustration, ensuring young people don't feel isolated in their anxiety. 2. Building a "Coping Toolkit" for resilience to equip participants with transferable life skills that extend beyond environmental issues. Implementing workshops on emotional regulation, mindfulness, and "healthy information consumption" to help youth manage stress and prevent burnout in their daily lives. 3. Promoting sustainable activism to redefine environmental engagement so it doesn't come at the cost of mental health. Encouraging a balanced approach to activism that emphasizes self-care and realistic individual actions, moving away from "all-or-nothing" guilt and toward long-term, healthy civic participation. 4. Empowering youth to turn into advocates for mental well-being within their own local communities. Using the Youthpass process to help participants recognize their own growth, empowering them to return home as leaders who can raise awareness about eco-anxiety among their peers and local organizations. 5. Enhancing youth work capacity and methodology to evolve the quality of youth work at a European level. Developing and testing new non-formal methodologies that combine environmental education with mental health support, strengthening the cooperation between international partners. Ultimately, we want to achieve a shift in the youth sector where environmental care and self-care are treated as two sides of the same coin. We aim to help a young generation to become active citizens who are not only environmentally conscious but also emotionally equipped to lead in their own peer groups and community.
