Objectives

By implementing this project, Landsbyggðin lifi (LBL) aims to strengthen its capacity to support rural communities through adult education and community engagement. The project will enable LBL to gain practical knowledge of the LEADER approach, learn how it is used to support adult learning through courses and webinars, and apply this experience to improve learning activities, strengthen the organisation and inform dialogue with stakeholders in Iceland.

Background

Landsbyggðin lifi (LBL) applies for this project to gain deeper insight into the LEADER approach and to learn how organisations in countries with access to this system use it to strengthen adult education through courses, webinars and community-based learning. Through cooperation with MAS Šumperský venkov, LBL seeks first-hand experience of how LEADER supports participation, networking and learning in rural areas, and how similar approaches could inspire adult learning and community development
