Our forthcoming project continues the partnership initiated in 2022 between the scouts from Georgia and Iceland. Both organizations are the active members of the Goose Network which is a formal network aiming to improve the quality of environmental, nature, cultural and peace activities at European Scout and Guide Centers, as well as spread good practices from our centers by sharing ideas, activities and information. In autumn 2025, active members and leaders from the "Úlfljótsvatn Scout and Adventure Centre" and the "International Scout Center Rustavi" orginised online meeting to explore opportunities for collaboration within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. These discussions led to the development of a joint project, aimed at strengthening our partnership and creating meaningful experiences for young people across both countries. The main objective of our project is to empower young scout leaders (18–25) to use nature-based, non-formal education methods to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among children and teenagers. Our project has following specific objectives: -To develop participant’s skills in outdoor and experiential learning: Enable participants to design and facilitate educational activities using forests and natural environments as learning spaces. -To strengthen environmental awareness and sustainability understanding: Deepen knowledge of ecosystems, biodiversity and human impact through direct experience in Algeti National Park. -To develop green competences through practical action : engage participants in hands-on eco-construction projects. -To increase multicultural competences among participants and strengthen relationship between the scouts from Iceland and Georgia.
