Objectives

The youth conference Young People and Public Health – Strengthen, Thrive, Connect! aims to enhance democratic participation among young people and empower them to have a real impact on their own lives and their communities. The conference focuses on healthy relationships and interaction among young people, both in the digital world and in real life. It is open to all young people aged 15–25, with no requirement to be members of youth councils, sports clubs, or other organised activities. All young people within the age group are welcome. The event is based on active participation and methods of non-formal education, including workshops, dialogue and creative activities. Particular emphasis is placed on creating a safe and supportive space where young people’s voices are heard through peer-to-peer dialogue, as well as in direct conversations with ministers, members of parliament and key stakeholders from the youth and sports sectors.
