The project’s objectives are to strengthen staff competences in educational work with families and parents in socially complex contexts and with migrant backgrounds, bringing more solid community and territory-based practices into the association’s services. At the same time, it aims to offer parents with fewer opportunities a first short mobility experience focused on language learning and European participation, introducing Close in the Distance to the Erasmus+ culture of inclusive mobilities.
Close in the Distance presented this project in response to needs that emerged on two levels: on the one hand, the staff’s need to strengthen their skills in non-vocational educational work with socially complex families, through more community-based and transcultural approaches; on the other hand, the need of parents with fewer opportunities to access a first experience of educational mobility, focused on basic language skills and European citizenship.
