We want to improve the quality of permaculture teaching for AIP members, reaching diverse educational needs, improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning, and enhancing inclusiveness. We want to improve the quality of student learning by meeting diverse learning needs, broadening social inclusion and training new staff members (teachers and tutors) with particular focus on group facilitation skills, mentoring and tutoring skills. We also aim to strengthen our European network.
We are currently facing the challenge of setting and adhering to internationally recognized quality standards in permaculture learning and teaching. We must also stay abreast of emerging non-formal education methods globally, enabling AIP members to offer high-quality teaching in line with international developments and emerging learning approaches, and enabling AIP members to benefit from diverse methodologies, which are in line with the Permaculture ethic of People Care.
