Objectives

At the margins of cities and towns, young people are imagining a new centre. MARGINI strengthens civic participation of youth in marginalised contexts—urban peripheries and rural/inner areas—turning exclusion into social innovation. Young people will explore their territories, co-design local solutions, implement community micro-actions and engage in dialogue with public decision-makers, culminating in a participatory festival and an “Agenda of the Margins”. The project fosters urban–rural exchange, collective storytelling, emotional wellbeing and non-formal education, creating spaces of care and cooperation, with field evidence, an Atlas and a replicable toolkit, prioritising fewer-opportunity youth. Key objectives: O1 – enhance civic awareness; O2 – foster active citizenship and interterritorial cooperation; O3 – support wellbeing and self-confidence; O4 – bridge urban and rural communities; O5 – build structured dialogue with institutions.
